Anyone know if this monitor is any good? I have a 17" 16.0 viewable right now, but only 60hz at 1280. This NEC can do 1600 at 65hz. Any opinions?

I have a NEC E750 right now and it was pretty good back in the day when I bought it.
It's not flat but its not a fishing bowl. Mine does 1600x1200 at 70 Hz but I would not recommend running it at that res because the text is just too small. Besides at 65 Hz most people see the flicker. I see some flicker even at 85 Hz (depending on the lighting). Colors are pretty much balanced and text is really crisp.
If you want to run 1600 by 1200, buy a decent 19 inch because everything is simply too small + flicker on a 17 inch.
Beware of refurbs though...

EDIT: Oh btw, every monitor is unique and so even if you buy two of the same model, they may have slightly varying characteristics.

I can't tell you about that monitor in particular, but I have owned an NEC monitor in the past and I thought it to be very high quality. It was much nicer than most people's at the time, even though it is not hard to find a nice 15" monitor anymore.

Oh well, I guess I'll just actually compare and choose ;)
