NEC 1860NX or Planar PX171M?

I am considering both and have not been able to find many reviews. I can get them for the same price, around 400 before tax. There is a GamePC review praising the PX171M, and a PC World that rates it mediocrely for its image quality. CNET and some PC Advisor site also give rather lukewarm reviews for the NEC 1860NX. CNET cites a low brightness. This LCD will be used mainly for text and occasional DVD's. My main concerns are image quality and I guess brightness, considering it will be used in a dorm? The NEC is bigger at 18.1", but I don't want ghosting, which the Planar shouldn't have with its 16ms pixel response time. Which should I get, or should I wait for a better deal? I really hope that $390 Dell 1800FP deal reappears sometime. I will be using the analog output for both monitors.
