Its almost the end of 2006!

How was your year? Good or bad and why?

Mine wasn't that great, The summer wasn't bad, worked a lot so I didn't have much of a summer. I am looking forward to a new year and the start of a new term, my grades weren't that great(though this is my fault and next term I will be working to correct this) I went through a sort of nasty break up and had a lot to work through with my GF. I've had to move twice since coming back to school and it has put a lot of stress on me.

Plus I am paying for school in full out of pocket this year so I'm working full time which is part of the reason for my poor grades.

So how has your year gone?

Pretty much sucked.

Wasted just about the whole year working the graveyard shift and sleeping all day.

2006 was great. I worked, saved some money, then quit my job and went back to my home country.

Looking forward for 2007 where I will be in China! yeah! :D:D

It was alright. The wife and I bought our first house. I still have a low paying job, but at least I kind of like my job. It could have been better, but it could have been a lot worse. I'm hoping 2007 is even better.

For the most part, I'd have to say 2006 was a good year.

Plusses this year;

A) Watching my daughter transition from a cuddly 1 year old to a very independant 2 year old. She now tells daddy where to sit when we watch Sesame Street.

B) Promotion at work. Only means more $$ in my account that gets quickly transferred over to day care, but that's to be expected.

C) Learning that loving your wife means you both have to constantly work at it and enjoying the fruits of your work.

Minuses this year;

A) Happened right after Thanksgiving. Decided the caulk along our bathtub needed to be replaced, so I grabbed a knife to scrape away the old silicone and poked the knife right through the grout on one of the tiles. Come to find out that there is no wall supporting the tiles layed inside our tub/shower. So the wife and I have scrounged up almost $2500 for a bathroom remodel project we were hoping to put off til the spring. Ahh the joys of home ownership!

B) Watching my mom sink slowly into depression. Lost my father 4 years ago to a blood clot shortly after reconstructive knee surgery. Since then my mom has had a tough time with a lot of things. She recently lost her job due to a 'power struggle' that was entirely made up by one of her co-workers. But the bosses listened to her and fired my mother. She's looked into legal prosecution, but there's virtually nothing the law can do to help her. I'm sort of hoping she decides that she can retire and come out and live with me and my wife. Would save a boatload on daycare and my mother would be able to enjoy my daughter more than one week a year (She lives in Wisconsin. I live in NY)

It's been a year of mixed emotions. I went through a hard time not being able to work because my papers were not clearing. That lasted throughout the beginning of the year. Then I managed to get all my papers in order and have managed to get the best job I've ever had. So I went through some hardships and am now enjoying. I guess that's just how life always is.

Good year.

My salary was increased by @ 31% due to promotions and various raises.

My company's union went on strike, which means I was put into an easy, no-stress hourly job for the duration.

I still got to have a lot of fun this year.

This has been probably one of best years ever since I was in elementary school. Im finally getting my B.S. in accounting this winter. Making plans for CPA requirements and possible graduate school. Spent another year with my wonderful girlfriend. Taking a class to learn the korean language. Bought a bunch of expensive tech goodies. Got myself in better shape physically. Got fantastic internship experience. Interviewing with some great companies at the moment. Did a bit of professional networking.

It's been a good year for David.

2006 was definitely a positive year.

Started my new job in January - love it
Got married in May - love her
Went to Tahiti in June - loved it

Other than that got some good traveling in before I got married -- India, London, Costa Rica

Besides losing a good chunk of change in Vegas last week and AC last month, I would have to say that 2006 was the shizzle!
