I like this case.

Anyone have one?

What does 'SOHO' stand for?

Any other recommendations for a pre-windowed case?

Well it could be a neighborhood, but in this case I'm going with Small Office / Home Office ;)

drewski is right.

I have a PlusView1000AMG I just put my main system in. It's a great case that has about everything one would need or want. But, beware the weight. This thang is heavy!

Another good case with a window is the Antec LanBoy. It's lighter too. :D

But smaller of course.

kewl ... I just been reading reviews ... (all good)

Ya ... I'm aware it's heavy, cuz its steel.
But! ... I been reading this has no factor in raising temps. (being steel)
In fact ... some say the air flow is so good,, its better than the aluminum ones the reviewers were using.
Actually dropping temps.
___________

I also saw another interesting case ... But I have my reservations.
clear cases

I think its TOO bright. It's entirely clear acrylic.
I cant help think that those cases would build a static charge.
(and heat)
What you guys think?

I have 80mm fans every there is a place for one and yes the cooling is excellent. The overall size helps too.

Those clear cases to me are just a novelty. Ever notice how much dust a panel window accumalates in just a day? Imagine the whole case like that. Not to mention finger prints.

Just got one the other day from Amazon. I havent had a chance to set it up yet, but it seems very nice. The case at Amazon is $71 shipped and there are also coupons around for $5 off $35 and $10 off $75. Seemed like good prices to me. I dont like the fans that came with it though. Only 2 of them out of the 5, plus they seem loud for their airflow. I ordered 5 NMB fans from SVC to cool it down. The only possible dowside I see with the case is that the front door seems a little flimsy.

hmmm...

I wasnt aware of the dust collecting on the windows.
I've never had a windowed case.

Maybe static is doing that?

Maybe I dont want a window then. :(

The front fans have a filter and you can order one for the side window. That will keep the inside relatively dust free. I imagine the dust on the side can just be wiped off.

If you can keep the system on your desk instead of on the floor, it will probably pick up a lot less dust.

Well,, its a well built case ,,, except for the faulty power switch.
I Emailed Amazon hoping I dont have to RMA the whole case ... because its got my system in it at the moment.
I'm hopeing they will just send me a new front panel, with postage to send the bad one back.

I suggest calling Antec in person if you just have a faulty switch. Also, SVC.com has a great buy on high-quality NMB dual-ball-bearing 80mm quiet fans, 5 for $11 (unless they ran out). Get some 3-pin converters since your board won't have enough connectors for everything. They aren't powerful but in a team of 5, they are just about right while very quiet.

___________ EDIT ___________
Amazon sent me another case.
At least I can just swap the front bezel.
I wont have to remove my stuff.

:)

It's going to be hard for me to send it back with those 80mm fans I need.

I got my Antec Plusview1000 today, and I am very impressed. SOHO does indeed stand for Small Office / Home Office.
