It's in stock @ Newegg and the price difference is $2 so I would say it's worth it.

I recieved the 3500a for Christmas from my wife. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. What is the best dvd burning software to use with this drive? I'm considering the Sony Movie Studio + DVD package.

i have a 3520a from Newegg. works great! problem with Nero though... i use 5.5.10.56 cause i never got into version 6+, and it won't recognize this drive. i downloaded the TESTCD.EXE file from ahead.de, but can't use it as my drive isn't recognized. hmm... kinda a catch-22. does this mean i'll have to upgrade to Nero 6+ to get my drive to work with Nero?

Yes, you have to upgrade to Nero 6.

quite a few marked 4x +R blank media (1100A is +R only ..mostly) will do 8x,12x, even 16x
