Two thoughts for the 360 version...

Passing is pretty damn easy. A typical first half looks like 9/13 130YD, 2TD. Running is pretty hard.
Yep. You can complete outs and fades pretty regularly against the CPU. The only time I have problems is when the CPU drops 3 or 4 into safety coverage. Most of the time the CPU only runs a one or two deep safety. If you go into settings and play with the defense's AI and your offense's AI, it gets a little more realistic.

It took a few games for me to get used to the running (especially when I kept wanting to use the left trigger for a stiff arm and the left trigger now pitches the ball). Running outside is almost a non-starter. If you've got a good-sized back you can run in between the tackles or bounce it outside pretty well. You really have to be better at following your blockers this year.

They really made the kicking game harder. I used to make FGs from the 35yd line all the time. Now I miss some from 25!
Agree. Using the right analog stick for kicking puts a little more challenge into it than just pressing buttons. I've gotten pretty good at coffin-corner punting with it though.

I wonder how the passing and running will work out on the 07 release of this game on the PS2?

I always found running was easy and I absolutely sucked at passing.

I just bought this today after playing the demo last night. I can't wait. This is basically last year's version with better graphics on the 360 right? We have Chase for the Heisman instead of that campus thing on the other systems?

Also bought Oblivion but that's a different story altogether. 🙂

The 360 version of NCAA '07 is missing out on alot of the extras the Xbox and PS2 version has because it is completely rebuilt based off of Madden '06. It is basically just Quick Play, Dynasty (no create-a-school), Online Play, and three mini-games. You can expect all the missing features to be added on the next version.

I had a chance to play 07 for Xbox for a couple minutes. Wasn't able to get into it too much, but it seemed to play mostly like 06, and not like the 360 version.

yeah passing is easy. my qb is going to win the heisman this year. running sucks, but if you use the impact trigger it helps a lot.

i love the new kicking. much improved over the old way of doing it. i never miss field goals and i can stick it pretty good on punts. i was never very good at the buttons so maybe that's why this is so easy for me.

the only funny thing is i'll put up 50 points on a team, then all of a sudden their defense goes into overdrive. i guess my o-line gets tired, but from going to having all the time in the world to pass to being stuck 2 steps after the snap is amusing.
