It's a law that you must open a bank account under your real name or business name. ID needed.
It is NOT the law that one must present a drivers license or other state-issued photo ID in order to open a bank account. While that is certainly the most common option, it is not the legal mandate.
Further, as always, this is irrelevant for the majority of Americans who already had bank accounts when the PATRIOT
[sic] Act was passed.
It's a law that you must be 17 to watch an R rated movie. ID needed.
False. It is not a law at all, it is a voluntary system widely adopted by theaters. Moreover, even the theaters who follow that system are not required to demand state-issued photo IDs. It is perfect reasonable for them to use their own subjective and arbitrary criteria for deciding when to ask for IDs.
Your little porno deflection is cute, but it's irrelevant. Very few people watch porn in theaters. Further, once again, it is up to the establishment to decide if and when they'll ask for IDs.
It's a law that you must be 21 to drink. ID needed.
Once again, there is no law requiring alcohol sellers to demand a state-issued photo ID. As best I can remember, I've been carded twice in my entire life. Both were concerts where the promoter required 100% ID checks by its vendors. I've never been carded in a bar or a grocery store when buying alcohol. My experience is hardly uncommon.
It's a law that you must fly under your real name. ID needed.
Hey, you got one right (mostly). Care to guess what percent of the American public never flies commercially? If you are among the millions and millions who never fly, you don't require a state-issued photo ID. (By the way, you don't need the ID when flying as a passenger on private aircraft. It's only on commercial flights. We'll spot you that one and assume you were just imprecise.)
Wrong on that one too. Still, one out of five is a step up for you. Good job.
