Anyone watch this? I just finished up the first season, and wow--there are some spectacular performances. I'm definitely looking forward to season 2.

My wife watched it so I got to watch the whole season. I hated it. The concept was flawed (Christina made a huge deal about how people looked), nobody said anything bad about some pretty awful performances, hyperbole abounded, and the "stars" were anything but except for Christina. The whole show felt fake to me and I wouldn't care if I never saw it again.

You don't think Adam Levine is a "star"? 🙄

Cee-lo sucked as a judge and I did think they should have been a bit more honest at times. Christina was also incredibly annoying. I wouldn't have been able to pick Blake Shelton's face out of a crowd before that show, but he was great.

The lead singer for Maroon Five is a star but I don't think Adam Levine is. It's actually pretty obvious he doesn't think he's all that famous, just watch the way he acts. He has no self confidence based on what I've seen on that show.

My wife watched it...so I heard parts of it...but never watched much of it.

The bits I DID see didn't appeal to me. The whole thing seemed pretty "staged" for a "reality TV show."
There were a few decent voices in the competition, but...meh...IMO, it wasn't worth watching.

My wife watched it, I couldnt stand it. I thought the any one of the top 10 on this season's Idol blew away everyone on that show.

I watched bits and pieces of it, it was a fresh take on the genre. Although, it wasn't really a blind audition, since by the time each judge picked their 8, there were really only 4 or 5 that didn't make the cut. They weren't so much as auditioning, rather blindly picking singers who had already been auditioned.

I watch it because of Christina's boobs popping out on every episode.

Other than that, I felt the show's performers were rejects from American Idol that got second chance or third, if you watched the first episode. Some weren't picked and had to do another round of singing...

Christina...meh.

Who were the other Idol people other than Frenchie? And it did kind of cheapen it that Casey Weston had to be called back for a second audition but then made it to the final 8. Made the talent seem pretty weak. I never thought she was good, though. It was a new show, so hopefully it will have a bigger talent pool for the second season and will attract some good singers.

Dia and Javier were pretty darn good I thought, but I don't watch Idol. I thought Vicci was pretty good too, but the cute ones always seem better. Definitely a tier below, though.

It's weak and insipid. How do they have the stomach to continue such a yawn-inducing flop? Relentless positivity gets old.
