Uhoh, I have one in my shower. Does this mean my foot could get chopped off?

So can Ginsu sue the makers of every single slasher flick, for portraying knives in a bad light?

Stick your hand down a disposal, it gets chopped. Duh!

I saw the show and I decided to buy one after I found out that you can put your hand in it and have it come out alright.

ROFL!

Free product placement...
On the other hand, opens them up to lawsuit if user actually buys it thinking that it's ok stick your hand down one and you'll be ok (hey, you laugh now but someone won millions from McDonalds cause they pour hot coffee on themself and sued cause it burned)

judge reduced it to $80k. most, if not all, went to the lawyers

And let's clarify that it caused third degree burns.

But on subject, after watching this show, I decided to jump off of a building because I had a dream of flying... shortly after running through a fire and shooting up some heroin to pain visions of the future.

In reality, I wasn't the least bit focused on what the brand of disposal was and even if I knew, it would not sour my opinion on the brand because I'm not stupid enough to think I should stick my hand into a disposal regardless of the safety features it has.

What does that have to do with anything? She did something stupid and burned *herself* causing those third degree burns. Hell, if I pour gasoline on my foot and set it on fire, I can cause fourth degree burns. Does that mean that I should sue Exxon?

What if I'm working on my car and touch the exhaust manifold? Once again, bad burns, but is it really the manufacturer's fault for misuse of their product due to my own stupidity?

So when are all the car manufacturers going to sue when TV shows and movies depict an exploding automobile after someone shoots the fuel tank?

Something tells me pouring gasonline on your foot and lighting it on fire and working on a car with a sweltering hot exhaust manifold and touching it aren't as common of accidents that should be expected, and to top it off, a third degree burn from a beverage that a person is about to drink is a world of difference from a part of a car that doesn't come in human contact but an average of a couple times a year.

The fact that the spill occurred in a parked car is minute, because the spill could have occurred to any of the customers and employees that came close to that coffee. That's why it was a lawsuit in the name of negligence. I'm fairly positive that there's no such thing as a lawsuit over stupidity, otherwise I would have long since been rich just by going to school with some of the dimmest bulbs in highschool.

But if you're so positive that you can pull it off, I'll mail you a pack of matches and $2.50 for some gasoline.
