"Don't let the door hit you where the dog should of bit you"

I though my old redneck, inbred, cheap beer drinking, nascar watching boss only said that.

as if a blonde, young woman at a geek convention isn't going to get extra attention or set off alarm bells?

I assume the idea is that the nerds are powerless to resist the blonde, young woman and her plans for world domination.

Dateline is the National Enquirer of TV news. They're not even that credible, the Enquirer has actually broken some semi-major stories in recent years.

They pay for stories, they've been caught trying to create news, they take a couple of stories and run them into the ground over the years (Perverted Justice, IIHS), the majority of their programs are a simple 15 minute piece stretched and padded to fill an entire hour. They've been the bottom of the barrel of TV news magazines since the beginning, going back to setting GM fuel tanks on fire for the cameras.

These geeks are even less smart than she was if they believe they can talk openly about doing illicit stuff there.

C'mon, did she really think she could get into Defcon of all places with a pinhole cam?? I'm surprised it wasn't picked up or spotted by some of the security geeks there immediately...

Traxter was a fed in a wheelchair and blind that used to troll the con's. They used to have fun with him.

I dropped out of the scene right after the war in the 90's. Once FBI showed up and people were getting arrested and serving real jail time it just wasn't worth it.
