NBC renews Parks and Recreation, Community, The Office.

I like Outsourced 🙁 Rajiv is awesome.

Haven't bothered to watch a minute of Perfect Couples.
 
I watched The Office for a while, it was fun.
Then it got old.
Then an Office clone came out, Parks & Recreation.
It was WAY too similar to The Office - SAME CHARACTER TYPES!
It was just too awkward to watch the same show in a different skin.
 
While I still enjoy The Office, they need to either start in a new direction or just wrap it up, its been just coasting for a few seasons now.

SUPER pumped about Community though, easily one of the smartest/funniest/best shows on TV right now. Was a bit worried it might be canceled prematurely like Arrested Development. But as good as the show is, I hope they don't drag it out indefinitely, I don't see how it can last beyond when the characters graduate.

I don't care for P&R at all but that's completely untrue, the documentary style is the same, the characters are completely different. Its the same skin, different show.
 
Bringing back The Office without Steve Carell is like brining back 2.5 Men without Charlie, Alan, Berta, and Rose.. so why bother? God I hate NBC, the captain just abandoned this sinking ship, why are you fetching a bucket instead of letting it die?

edit: n/m see that it was picked up for another season. I don't know why community is getting low ratings, that show is hilarious.

I can see why perfect couples is getting canned. I watched 2 episodes and nothing struck me as original or funny.

I think that remains to be seen. I never watched the show just because it has Steve Carrell, in fact I don't really like Steve Carrell. The show could be just fine without him.

(in case that is confusing, I do love The Office, but it's not b/c of Carrell)

Have you not ever been to Community College - no one ever graduates. Lifetime students.

No need to worry about any of them moving on.
 
The Office is spectacularly unfunny now, but might get better without Carell, he is painful to watch. P&R is good, not great, if it comes back fine and if not fine. I'm really happy to hear that Community is getting another season, that's the only show on NBC now that I would miss if it disappeared.
 
I actually quite liked the new show Perfect Couples. Too bad to read it might be canceled, but they can't keep going with the 6 comedy shows like they're doing now. That's just too much.

I disagree. Past few episodes of the office were hilarious. I never got into Community since it seemed too much of a knockoff of the office.

yeah, my 2 favorite by far. I probably like P&R more, but it depends. they tend to fluctuate in quality from episode to episode, but not too much.

I'm liking 30Rock again, it kind of went downhill for a spell but it's back to 100% Baldwin awesomeness. Damon was cool when he was on there, looks like not so much anymore...

glad there is no news on Outsourced or Perfect Couples--they should be sent to the incinerator.

the only thing that is similar is the doc style. No one in P&R is as stupid and useless as the Michael character in The Office. There are no Dwight/Jim, or Pam analogues, either.

Plus, P&R has Ron Swanson, which makes it superior by default.

how can community be a knockoff of the Office?

The Office is more of an improv style, Community is more scripted.

Though I think P&R is a better example of good improv-heavy comedy.
