Like you making the statement that Wilt could never play in "today's NBA". Who the hell makes such stupid statements?

I'm not even going to read another one of your posts in this thread, because you obviously aren't reading mine.

Here is what I said about Wilt:
"You have to take into account the competition as well. Wilt AVERAGED 25 rebounds per game a few seasons, so you can't say that the competition was anywhere close to what it is today. Wilt wouldn't sniff a 50/25 year if he played today. "

How does that translate to "could never play in today's NBA"? Or are you just intentionally being obtuse?

he dominated in his time...thats what sports is about...who cares about "what if this" and "what if that"

apparently all the people in this thread comparing kobe to wilt care...

I hate Kobe but that is pretty impressive. Although I still see him as a "me first, only my stats matter" type of guy and not a real winner (Kind of like Manny in baseball). I just don't think he really inspires a team to play better with him or for him....but as far as talent, there is no denying it.

I dunno... I can't remember a time when he's padded his states. When he got 62 against Dallas in three quarters, he didn't play at all in the fourth to try to break records (Lakers up by 20 something)

And the Lakers would do as decent as they are doing right now w/o Kobe.

I think Kobe would win MVP for sure if he leads lakers to the playoffs, but on his 81 points. I think he is about his stats and has no team play. But he does have talent.

all this game proved is that kobe has a really good jumpshot and the raptors defense is horrible...until the end of the game when he was launching 3's from 40 feet away it was the quietest 81 ever...kobe had so many wide open jumpshots it was ridiculous...still overrated, still not gonna make the playoffs,

One thing that Wilt could do that Kobe won't be able to do is single-handedly take a team to the championship series and win it. That and be able to do anything else than score.

trust me, i'd take Kerr's opinion on basketball players over most of the haters that have posted in this thread.

ya. i am appealing to authority here. ;)

trust me, everyone here knows you're a lakers whore. you defend anything and everything in all lakers threads.

you can find just as many NBA'ers who say that Kobe is a ball hog and doesn't know how to pass. But I bet those wouldn't fit your argument either?

You're a Laker whore..we all know that.

You should be listening to Scottie Pippen. He made a great point that how when him and MJ played, you could hand check and the games were lower scoring because defense was allowed to pressure you more. Now people have open looks and more room to move because you're not allowed to put a hand on the player and get in their grill.

We could go on and on...but just because some of the people here don't like Kobe, doesn't mean that Steve Kerr is right. You're just as bias as the rest of them.

I dunno... I highly doubt the Lakers would have won many games at all without Kobe. His teammates need to step it up

The guy scored 81 points. I don't give a sh!t if he was playing the Raptors. Every other team plays the Raptors but none of their players lit 'em up for 81. And no, I'm not some stupid Kobe fanatic. In fact, after the Eagle Colorado ordeal he dropped down my list quite a bit. I just think you shouldn't try to downplay his fantastic game. It's not like you could do any better.

Basically I think you're a moron for trying to belittle his fantastic game.

what the, then Linus, you're out of the loop. Everyone who's a fan of the NBA in AT knows PlatGold is a Nets fan (based off of his NBA posts).

Plat is just a fan of the NBA, and haters like you just isn't a true NBA fan. You're just some bandwagoner who loves to diss people that did nothing to you.

Plat is in no way a whore for LA. Anyone in here knows that I'm the Lakers whore. And it's just YOU who knows that he's the whore.

What a dumbass linus.
