I do not see the appeal.
He could have subtly directed and taught the others with his experience, and improved their game.
Instead he showboated and egotistically bathed in his ability to walk over those less skilled than him.
Does he feel so insecure in himself to need such easy reassurance?
I am definitely not impressed.

With a professional athlete it's generally considered to be pretty cool to both show off your skills as well as see them. That's one of the reasons we go watch a game in the first place. If you were learning fencing and an Olympic gold medalist came in and schooled you without telling you who he was I'm pretty sure you'd be wowed and love it.

Another solution: get Download Helper or some other add-on for whichever browser you're using & simply download videos from youtube. Then watch them.

Yes that would of been so much funner to watch.

Kyrie Irving shows up as himself and teaches 25 year old recreational basketball players how to play.. Or Kyrie Irving shows up as uncle Drew a 60 year old man and Harlem Globetrotters fools with dazzling dribbling and sky high dunks..

I agree. Also those makeup artists should have volunteered their time to apply makeup to blind people who couldn't do it themselves, instead of helping someone dress up like an old man.

Fwiw for the non-nba fans, kyrie irving was the #1 draft pick and rookie of the year last year.

That explains his insecure need to assert his dominance. Thank you.

FWIW, he was really good. The video did show the vast difference between standard players and a skilled player.

Why do you keep insisting that he only did this to show off and make himself feel awesome? It's obviously a viral video for Pepsi, it has nothing to do with Kyrie Irving wanting to assert his dominance. They paid Kyrie to do this and get people to watch. Pretty simple.

Haters gonna hate! He was paid to appear in a Pepsi commercial, not teach basketball class.

it's not assert his dominance. it's 'assume the stance of dominance.' get it right.

Don't kid yourself. The entire thing is likely staged.

This is my assumption as well... wouldn't Pepsi need my permission to advertise this? Filming me in public is one thing, but this is something else so for sure they would have to pay me off for me to sign off on this.
