<< I keep finding myself rooting for the underdogs this playoffs.

I've never liked Utah and Indiana, but I cheered Indiana beating NJ, and I'm watching with delight as Utah's giving Sac a run for the money.

On another note, does anyone else think that C-Webb is way overrated? I'm a Michigan guy, and I watched him play w/ the Fab Five. I hoped and prayed that he would sign with Detroit when he was a free agent. But, after watching Jermaine O'Neal up his intensity and take the team on his shoulders, Webber pales in comparison. Did you know his playoff scoring average is 3 points lower than this season average? Watching him play the first half....what a lackidasical fool. No hustle, no heart, just shooting college range 3's. I'll take a hustling Ben Wallace (*cough* Defensive Player of the Year) over overpaid, overrated C-Webb anyday!

Webber shows signs of greatness but in the playoffs he definitely blows. You're right about the just shooting college range threes though. The Kings were lucky they didn't cough up the first game but at least now they know this is going to be a dogfight. It was such a physical game and C-Webb seems like he doesn't want to mix it up too much. Webber can't jump at all anymore and has lost all of his athleticism that once allowed him to run the floor and dribble and block shots and dunk on guys. He has been injured a lot recently which explains his drop in athleticism but he's still an all star caliber player and just needs to step up in the playoffs. He needs to realize that he is the man, they are paying him all that money for a reason and he needs to realize it.

Indiana is going to take care of the Nets. The Pacers match up well with starting lineups, and the Pacers have the more talented bench.

That plus the fact Jason Kidd has never NOT choked in the first round spells doom for New Jersey.

Webber scored his season average tonight...
This is a new set of playoffs and why not let the guy have another chance?
I think that if Webber posts a little more it will open of the shooters like Peja and Christie, which will help
the team.
And for my Round One predictions,(West only, East is a toss up with no real dominant teams, plus I have not kept up with the East)
I think that the Blazers will give the Lakers a run for their money and maybe even steal a game.
I think Minnesota is a sleeper of the West. They had a rough second half of the season but
they have a lot of talent, and Dallas had better watch out.
Seattle has a good team, but not as good as the Spurs.
Kings will play some tough games with Utah, but end the end they have too much talent.
So..
Lakers in 4.
Minnesota in 5.
Spurs in 3.
Kings in 3.

Prediction for the West:

Mavs over T-Wolves
Kings over Utah

Spurs over Seattle
Lakers over Portland

Mavs over Kings (Mavs have won twice in Arco, they did very well vs the Kings in the regular season)
Lakers over Spurs (Robinson wilts yet again)

Mavs over Lakers (It'll be a dogfight, but the four headed Eduardo Buckgriffnewman holds Kobe to 18 points per game and Shaq's big toe slows him down long enough for either Dirk, Raef, or Wang to hit the series winning 3!)

Mavs over whichever scrub emerges from the LEastern Conference :)
