Forward Darius Miles was sent home early from the Portland Trail Blazers' Southern California road trip after changing into his street clothes at halftime of a game against the Clippers Wednesday night.

in a real team the other players would have laid the smackdown on a non-team player like this

well, he's playing against the team that traded him. He was a up and coming player when he was w/ the clippers. He's just with the wrong cast this time around. He probably had family come to the game as well. ya, it was stupid of him to do what he did, but given the situation, he was probably very pissed.

Then why do they only play 2/3 of the team during 95% of the game?

My first year on the junior varsity basketball team, there were a couple games I never got to play in. Our team would be getting blown out by 30 points at half time and they'd keep the starters in the whole second half.

There's no such thing as a team sport. It's only afreaking sport for the guys who are on the court....the rest just have really good seats.

Lol - uhm NBA != JV
They're out to win games, not to make sure everybody gets a chance to wave to mom & dad from the court.

Darius Miles is the worst of a pathetic lot of overpaid crybaby thugs. I was a huge Blazer fan back in the Drexler-Porter glory days, but now I wouldn't go to a JailBlazer game if you paid me. I'm at the point right now where I wouldn't mind if Allen moved the team.

Being a Blazer fan, nothing really shocks me anymore when sh!t like this happens.

They just played a sweet parody of Miles on our local sports talk radio station to the tune of EZ E?s ?Boy?s in the Hood?. One verse was:

?Gotta get high before the game begins, before the fans start b!tchin, about no wins?

Sell the Blazers and give us baseball and/or hockey in PDX.

that's a shame. when he was w/ the clips, he was my favorite player on that team. sucks that he deterioted. I just think he's not in a team that suites him. (like Lamar Odom and the Lakers...)

Sad thing is if Miles had his head together he could take over games pretty much whenever.

He dropped 54 on somebody not that long ago. You can't do that without an incredible amount of talent.

imo, guys like that should be kicked out of the nba. The nfl is basically the most popular team sport by default. Baseball got their steroids, nhl coming off a cancelled season, and the nba got a bunch of young immature wannabe thugs.

He refused to play for a completely different (and some what valid reason) compared to Miles.

What most of these millionaire players seem to quickly forget is that you can go into any playground in any major city in the country and there are dozens of really talented kids dreaming of the chance to take their place.
