San Antonio Spurs vs. Dallas Mavericks (Mavs lead 3-2)

it's going to be a hell of a night for NBA basketball. both NBA Finals teams are on the brink of elimination.

Of course I would like to see the Pistons move into the Finals but I don't think they will. Loosing three straight to the Cavs just doesn't bode well for them.

It's time for a changing of the quard, out with the old and in with the new🙂

Detroit and SA look tired, they need a nice long rest

I'm calling it first, if both the Pistons and Spurs win tonight, they will both close the series out in game 7 and will ultimately face each other in the Finals.

PM me next time you're in Michigan and the first round's on me! 😀

GO PISTONS!!

GO SPURS!!

Be sure to enjoy tonight's games with a passion, I think its probably the final two-game weekday evening we'll see this playoffs. 🙁

I would think Detroit has a better chance of winning their Game 6 than SA does.

And my conspiracy crystal ball tells me that the refs have an uncanny way of giving just enough breaks to the team down 3-2 in a series, but it also says watch out for Game 7 cause Stern wants Lebron to advance

i agree that Detroit has a better chance than the Spurs tonight. it'll be interesting to see how not having Terry will afffect the Mavs. they do have depth to cover themselves, so we'll see.

David Stern has to be sporting wood over a Lebron v Wade potential matchup.

Agreed. Detroit has not played even close to their best, that is why they are down. When they play well they win easily.

The spurs have played almost as well as they can given their stupid strategy of small ball, aside from two late game flubs that is. It's going to be hard to win 2 in a row if the games remain score fests.

Larry Hughes is reportedly going to start Game 6 for the Cavs. He missed time because his brother passed away last week. from a basketball standpoint, i wonder if this will be good or bad for the Cavs.

Cav's record with Hughes: 0-2. without Hughes 3-0.

I'm predicting Detroit and Mavs to win tonight.

Me too.

Especially because evidence is strong that a player suspended/on leave/injured seems to make the team better. It has happened every time so far. Terry is out, Hughes is in, 'sheed is still a bit injured... victory for pistons and mavs.

How so?

1. Rasheed is still nursing his ankle (he still injured?)
2. Cavs bigmen have been playing tough ball the last couple games.
3. The game is in Cleveland! The Cavs are 4 and 1 playing at home in this year's playoffs.

Meanwhile, one of the Mavs starting guards is out for the game. I don't see how all of this adds up to Detroit having the better chance.

It goes like this... when detroit plays well, they win. When the spurs play well, it's almost a toss-up.

all i'm saying is that i think the Mavs will be tougher to beat than the Cavs will.

Suspending Terry is Sterns way of getting back at Cuban for all of the grief he gives the league officials. If the Spurs win it, Cuban is going to nuke the NBA front office!!

I want to see the Mavs go all the way this year, they deserve it!

GO MAVS!!
