NBA Live 2000 and V5 5500 under glide

Is there any kind of patch available that allows this game to be run under glide with a Voodoo 5 5500 at a resolution higher than 640x480?
I've tried everything, and cannot get these results. I get a message saying that the video card is not recognized by the game, and can't set it higher than 640x480 inside the game. Direct 3d works fine, but glide runs better and looks better than direct 3d on this particular game, and I'd really like to use that.

i heard some metion of that over at x3dfx, meby you can find help there.

If its telling you that the card isn't reconized by the game then its the EA sports problem not the v5. It has to be a patch out from EA sports if not then don't depend on 3DFX to drop one anytime soon.
