I guess the Pistons are in it again huh? Lots of converted Red Wings fans around here now since the Tigers and Lions suck. :)

Well, my Rockets got knocked out by Dallas....
Then Dallas got knocked out by the Suns...
But the Spurs made it..... and being a Texan I gotta root for San Antone
Its nice living here.... we have 3 good NBA Teams so I've always had someone to root for almost all the way to the Finals every year since the early 90's
Rockets 94-95 Champs
Rockets 95-96 Champs
Spurs 99-00 Champs

Now the Spurs are back again!

I don't know if it's that the playoffs were dull this year or that I haven't time to watch much or a little of both. Funny thing is I'm big fan, too. <sigh> I think it would have been fun to watch Ginobli and Wade go at each other (not to mention Bowen fouling, I mean guarding Wade).

yep, NBA just isn't the same anymore. well it was fun to watch NBA while i had a team to root for, but ever since the laker drama, i've lost all interest as my favorite team has been destroyed because of good ol kobe -_- ...and i have a valid reason to have rooted for lakers , as i live in LA, and not because they owned everybody the past couple of years.

the Spurs and the Pistons. two of the best executing teams in the NBA. two of the best defensive teams in the NBA. two of the best coached teams in the NBA. two teams that use teamwork and unselfishness to win.

sounds good to me.

if it's boring to you, it's because ESPN has convinced you that high-flying dunks and high-scoring/defense-lacking games are exciting.

Good call. I'm looking forward to it too ... people that don't appreciate a defensive game baffle me.

The NBA is the worst professional sporting league in the world.

It's mind-numbingly boring to watch thugs who don't give a flying shat about the game play for what seems like an ETERNITY with no passion, no desire, and no care of what team honestly wins. They're there for that paycheck, and that is all.

Now, COLLEGE basketball is where you see strivers, winners, and players passionate about the game. It all goes downhill as soon as they hit the NBA, though. I watch nearly every sport televised (even those Woodsmen Games), but the NBA is honest to goodness more boring than watching paint dry.

did you even watch game 7 last night? that was a hell of a game, with both teams playing for their playoff lives. if you couldn't find passion or desire in last night's game, then i feel for ya.

Dude, who doesn't play in the last game before the finals? It's more publicity, more at stake, and of course they'll play to win the championship. But I'm not watching 9034239023 games that take 239032902 minutes each to complete to get to this point. The NBA is garbage.

I can't watch NCAA. Every time a team I like becomes good, the good players all go the NBA. Like, after their Freshman year. Not worth it. If these people were forced to stay for 4 years, man... that would be some hi-level ball.

I'll take NBA. And I assure you, the "thugs" on Detroit and San Antonio care about the game.

This is a matchup most people will hate, but I will LOVE. These are two old-school teams who play grinding DEFENSE. It will be a chess match to see who can adjust to the other's strategies first. I simply love defensive games and teams, because it takes all the little things that most players and most teams won't do. It is more of a team concept, whereas a lot of teams have good offensive individuals who like to have plays run through them. And then what you have is a bunch of standing around for 3 guys on the court which is visually and athletically BORING. Should be a great finals :)

When the Lakers were always in it it was exciting because most people were rooting for them to lose. Now only the fans of either team for the most part gives a sh!t.

Without looking at your profile, I'll guess you're from Boston. :D

I was rooting for both the Celts and Lakers to lose since I'm a Sixers fan. :p

Seriously, a good defense can be fun to watch, but I miss the old high scoring days. BTW, it wasn't all high flying dunks. It was just some well executed offenses.

sure if your idea of a good game is seeing brick after brick after brick after brick......I think a WNBA game might be more entertaining

Yeah right, you could tell I'm from Boston. :roll:FYI I'm a California transplant who never liked the Celtics though I always admired Larry Bird.
