Wow.. I can't believe the Celtics made that deal. Sonics just pwned the draft!

West is a great player with a lot of talent and Wally is still really solid. Allen is getting old and won't put the Celtics over the top, the needed youth.</end quote></div>

Celtics get a stud SG for a rookie and two spare vets.

OTOH, the Celtics have studs at 2, 3, and 4 spot. But they lack a good C and PG, the hardest two positions to develop. While I think it was a good trade, this is going to be a heavy perimeter offensive team with little defense.

The problem is, if they are going to be good, it's not Seattle's business. This is our last year, now they pretty much have to GTFO of seattle.

See what I mean about this possibly working out for both sides? It's rare that you have a trade where people disagree about which side got ripped off.

If the Sonics can resign Rashard Lewis, their team will be much improved.
The celtics are also better than they were. They traded away a few non-core and replaceable players for an veteran all-star.

Edit: The Celtics don't need youth, they have one of the youngest teams in the league as it is.

Also, this frees up the Sonics to trade ridnour for the number 11 if Atlanta still is up for that.

I agree. I can see this for both teams. I think the Celtics are going to be potent offensively this year. WOW.

Oh my stars and garters. Billy Knight didn't blow two first round draft picks. They must be having a snow ball fight in hell right now.

Lakers get a pretty good PG. That's a good pick for them. If they can get Kobe to shut up, they will probably have a pretty good team this year.

Noah is going to be a decent player and a perfect fit for the Bulls youth, energy, and hard work, but isn't what they need to advance further in the playoffs next year.

He might have been the best pick left at #9 tho, and could still wind up as trade material for a low post player before the season starts.

Yeah what a waste of pick. I was so bummed. Anybody but Noah. I think he totally sucks.

I was actually hoping for Crittenton over Acie Law for the Hawks. He's got excellent size for a PG and can still distribute the ball well. Hawks still got a good pick with Law though.

Law = bench player in the NBA.
