All I gotta say is that the Spurs are dominating even with Duncan playing the least amount of minutes he's ever played. Good ol' Pop saving his key players for the Playoffs. Pop also makes good players out of no-names. I think Pop is a better coach than Phil Jackson as Jackson has always had GREAT teams with multiple HoF players to coach.

Crap, now you're gonna get the Jordan's Bulls and Laker fanboi's in here ...

BTW, have you been keepin' it Neal? :whiste:

chris paul, deron williams, rajon rondo, and derrick rose are better PGs than kidd at this point.

How is Splitter working out for you guys? He looked great in FIBA ball this summer but the two times I saw in the NBA him he looked a bit mechanical and merely a serviceable center.

Spurs beat Lakers in LA last night, yeah they needed a miracle tip-in to do it but it happened and now you HAVE TO say the Spurs are #1 in the league.

I'm bummed that my man K-Love didn't make the all star game. There is literally nothing else good about that Wolves team (Ridnour is serviceable, and iirc everyone else has a negative wp48). Needless to say I've not been watching much other than the odd Lakers-Celtics tilt.

I haven't watched much of the season at all this year...but gotta say Go Bulls! Hopefully Noah comes back healthy, rested, and in time to get in Bball shape for the playoffs.

Oh and LOLCLEVELAND!

Lost their last 22 games. 8 and 41. Could they be even worse than the Nets last year (or was that the year before)?

Not to mention I don't think the Wizards won a road game yet, 0-25 now I believe.

Why do you have to only say it now??? They've beaten the Lakers before. It's the Lakers fault it was that close. Lakers were at home and they needed that win much more than the Spurs did.

Yea good job Lakers, now you might drop all the way down to 4th in the west and of course Laker fans will say they don't care and they're champions already so regular season doesn't matter to them well Laker fans need to remember the Thunder, they're better than they were last year and more mature and seeing as how good the Laker/Thunder series was last year, the Lakers better be scared of the Thunder. They can't afford to give up homecourt to the Thunder.

I was @ the Spurs game Saturday, didn't think they'd start the usual players but was happily surprised to see a starter most of the game. Was pretty good, considering it's they locked up HCA in the west. We'll have to see what happens with the Bulls though. Pretty much the only team I don't want to see in the playoffs this year is the Thunder - mostly because I think Durant is hungry for a championship, and Perkins wants to prove to Boston they screwed up.

Part of me wants the Lakers to flop out in the 1st round of the playoffs so I can see the look on their fans faces and hear the endless excuses. But the other part of wants to see them lose in game 7 of the finals. So I can see their look go from "FUCK YEAH!" to "WTF just happened" Either way I know they won't do it this year as they've been playing like absolute shit all season against the top teams.

AND NO Lakers fans, that's not because they were bored, and they'll suddenly turn on boosters in the Playoffs.

Sean Elliot called OKC, DEN and POR the "minefield". Anyone facing these these teams should be very careful. Anything can happen, they are fairly young aggressive unpredictable teams. Its should be an interesting playoffs in the west.

I want POR to play the LAL. Would love to see POR knock them out ...

I'd rather see the Thunder knock them out. Thunder is not my team but I like them a lot and how much they've grown over the past years. Durant is my favorite player, not arrogant at all and seems to have a decent head on his shoulders. He didn't demand a trade like Kobe or LeBron, he quietly signed an extension with OKC, no fanfare, nothing.

much as i like durant being from TX and all, i really love watching westbrook play. reminds me alot like rose, tho his jumpshot is shakier than rose's improved jumpshot. he'll be really important if artest has success checking durant

Playoffs are here. Predictions welcome.

I'm a mavs fan so here's my mavs vs trailblazers breakdown. Aldridge seems to give the mavs problems and he is the biggest concern for the mavs. The Portland guards get anything they want with old ass Kidd as a defender. Having said that I still think even at 33 Dirk is a better player than Aldridge and I think overall the mavs have more depth. In the end despite what most say I think the mavs experience is going to pay off. I'm hoping they have a decent run left in them but it is an old team. All the core guys are into their 30's.
Mavs in 7. Unfortunately Dallas isn't a dominating team and will need 7 games to put away the Trailblazers.

Bulls vs Thunder would be a fun matchup. Two young, hungry teams that work their asses off. Some fresh blood in the finals would be aporeciated too.

Sure would beat Lebron's heat getting swept in the finals by the Lakers which is the likely scenario. Lebron is an arrogant douche but he's the future. It's his league and before long he's going to get his rings. He's knocking on the door every year and he's going to get over the hump.
