Alcoholics are evil because they purchase liquor from a black market? I have NEVER bought my booze off the black market. Now, if I could only find a good hooch distributor in my area that makes deliveries, I guess I would be all set for evil, then.

They did when there was a prohibition on alcohol. Also Alcohol consumption spiked during prohibition, just like the density of narcotics have gone up since the war on drugs, the alcohol % in spirits rose during prohibition which increased addiction rates.

Read those sections thoroughly - there was a darned good reason for it. These places were evil to the extreme... Sodom & Gomorrah, eat-your-baby-in-sex-ritual evil.

The difference? The destruction was limited ONLY to that group of people for extermination. The same Isrealites did NOT destroy every single place they marched through... some were either friendly or neutral. There is NOTHING in the Christian bible that commands its followers to convert people by force or threat of death.

This practice is subdued in places like the Americas where their power is limited and would meet significant resistance.
