it's about some kids who moved to america from germany as young children... so they considered it home. somehow they ended up back in germany at the beginning of the US involvement in WWII, and one of them was recruited for a sabotage mission in the US. one of them turns the group in, but it gets to the press as if they were captured.

there's some stuff about howard stern in the beginning, just get past it

Who? The history channel or the saboteurs? If I remember correctly, it was one of the guy's intent from the beginning to turn himself in. Then he convinced another guy to go along with it.
