but I a USN Gulf War vet of 10 years find the reference that the Navy is populated by gays very offensive. The Navy has no more or less than any other service with the "don't ask don't tell" policy.

Yep. The worst thing they have ever done was to put split tails ( women ) on ships. Now they are discussing putting them on Subs. God our leaders are stupid.

I work with lots of military detailees. O-6's from any branch tend to come in and do the same level of work. I realize there are actual differences for what they do when not detailed to a defense agency.
