I am running windows 2000, and I have noticed since I installed Norton Anti-Virus 2002, my machine isn't very responsive for about 20-30 seconds after boot up. I click on an icon or try to connect to the net, and it stalls for this period. After that it's fine.
Machine is Athlon 1.4MHz 512 DDRRam ATA 100 IBM Hard Drive.

Any thoughts or has anyone else noticed this on any O/S

This is a common problem with NAV. What is happening is every time you boot NAV does a quick scan of your HDD. I'm not sure for your version, but there may be a way to disable this feature. Good Luck

Thanks mate,

Just as I thought,

Anyone reading this that can assist, in how you prevent NAV from reading HDD when booting up.
