nav 2004 problems

I purchased nav 2004 a couple months ago. I installed it and everything was fine a couple weeks ago i had to reformat my harddrive. So when i went to install it again it said my product key is invalid. Even though it worked the first time and its the right one that is one the cd case. Any thoughts?
