Some idiots belonging to NATO forces caught Pirates trying to sieze a vessel and then set the pirates free. Are these people stupid? Dont they get that the pirates will just try again? With leadership like this, we will get nothing but more muslim terrorists (Pirates).

It was a Norwegian tanker, and the ship that rescued it from the pirates is a Canadian NATO vessle. Exactly what would you expect an American President or Secretary of State to do, and under what legal authority would they act? :roll:
 
If pirates attacked an American vessel we could charge them in American courts. Why can't Norwegian government do the same?
 
I was under the impression that international maritime law allowed a pirate to be prosecuted under the laws of whatever nation apprehended the pirate.

So I assumed. My guess is that NATO isn't a nation and therefore has no rules, which is apparently the case. Seems that someone ought to get their act together with this.

IMO, they should be permitted to swim back to Somalia...with their hands tied behind them and their feet in "cement overshoes."
