We’re currently investigating an issue related to the forum theme and styling that is impacting page layout and visual formatting. The problem has been identified, and we are actively working on a resolution. There is no impact to user data or functionality, this is strictly a front-end display issue. We’ll post an update once the fix has been deployed. Thanks for your patience while we get this sorted.
What ever the laptop's max is is what you can do. That is usually the laptop's Native Res. Integrated laptop video components are not equipped generally to go beyond that. The laptop's video settings will not let you use settings it cannot deliver.
I can choose up to 1920 by 1080. My laptop does not support this resolution. I can choose resolutions that are not supported on both of them. I just want to know if I can manually set the resolution to the native resolution of the LCD. I know I can select resolutions close to the native res but it's either too big or too small.
If the laptop is the signal source, you cannot get more resolution than its integrated video system can produce. Where can you choose 1920x1080? Have you tried palying with the HD TV's zoom settings?
What kind of connection are you using? s-video, vga, dvi/hdmi?
If its nvidia integrated graphics you should be able to add custom res's in the Nvidia control panel, otherwise you could try powerstrip which should allow you to add custom res and refresh rates link to powerstrip
I'm sure theres other programs out there to do the same thing also.
