plenty of white people find themselves in the same social situations as some of the people who are a minority. yet they get the shaft because they aren't a minority. Being a low income white individual gets you very little assistance other than government tuition assistance, for example. yet being a low income black individual gets you all these crazy scholarship opportunities and other related bullshit.

It's doing the reverse of what the original affirmative action concept called for. By segregating opportunities and organizations as they currently do, they are slowly the integration of all minorities into the same social organization as whites. Which is completely fucked up.
Everyone should be on completely even ground, let the qualified individuals earn their keep. All impoverished individuals should get the same equal opportunities.
All organizations for minorities should be completely down away with, instead, force them to completely integrate with equal organizations. Sure, that means they'll be surrounded by less of their same minority, but why does that even matter?

There were so many guys in SWE at my college it was pretty funny. There were even a few male officers. There were pretty much only two reasons to be in the club if you were a guy: 1) lots of girls obviously, 2) networking.

I have thought this myself for years. I have lived in cities with strong black populations (L.A. and Washington D.C.), and have known many black people. Not ONCE have I ever heard anything to this effect come out of the mouth of one of them.

How is jobs refusing to hire somebody because they're black self inflicted racism? I can't count how many jobs I've had over the years I wasn't qualified for. Outside of the 2 I know about, I'm sure there were others where I got the job over a higher qualified black person. A.A. benefits me 99/100 times because the percentages are so skewed in my favor. And while yes black people can be racist, the Asians I see out here are a 100 times worse and nobody makes much of a stink out of it at all.
