looks like the storm is moving into lake Erie.
Huh...looks like the worst of it is past already.
Lots of lightning, not a whole lot of thunder, except for a few obscenely loud and sudden hits.

Hm, neat. I never saw this sort of thing before.
So are they doing scanning for the radar maps?

- get it while it's stormy.

Edit: Well it looks like there's another wave coming in from the west, still out on the lake right now. It looks like it's about 30-40 minutes away. I guess I'll not be sleeping much tonight.:\

Had a really good shot of heavy winds, tons of lightning and downpour of heavy rain that lasted about five or so minutes. Right now it's just raining somewhat moderately. Nothing out of the ordinary really. Our power is out which is a bit annoying, but otherwise meh.

What really sucks is we lost power for like 15 seconds and my computer turned off. I guess the battery in my UPS is shot. ebay here I come.

Yeah, I hate that.

UPS: Checking battery...voltage is normal, all's well.
<apply 15 microamp load>
OMG BATTERY LOW!!!!! Bzzzzzt-click!

I'll have to try to remember to use the Test feature a bit more often than I do now. (Which is usually once with a new UPS - right when I buy it. :$)

Sweet holy hell, it sounded like something just exploded outside the window in the next room. That was loud, even through earplugs.:eek:

WTB RAIN

We just broke the record for most 100+ degree days in a year today, 70 days. It was set in 1925 and I'm guessing we're going to make it into the mid 80's at least. Supposed to be 108-110 this weekend.

the last days here brought with them the first real rain we have had since June.....
