nasty sky with geforce 2MX - Need help !

With Crimpson Skies, Descent3 and other games, I go a nasty sky. I've tried 4in1 4.25a and Detonator 6.31 (official releases) as well as more recent releases but without change. And DirectX7

Which setting to use ? - related to DirectX ?, to texture compression (but how to disable it ?)

Help welcomed !
 
You dont necessarily need to change the drivers. There are tweak programs such as NvMax and GTU (geforce tweak utility??) which can disable DXTC (cant verify this works as have only tried nvMax on a TNT2), but its worth a shot.
