So I got a nasty redirect virus that Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebyes didn't detect getting on the computer. They also didn't detect it whenever I booted into safemode and scanned the computer after I personally noticed some of my firefox searches were being "redirected" (type in a search->url on website that is spying on me pops up->then I am directed to the website I was trying to obtained.)

I got multiple hard drives on this computer. C, D, E, etc. I am just going to reinstall windows on drive C while not messing with drive D and E since this is where all my personal data is.

Does anybody have any recommendations on software to scan drives D and E so that after I do my reinstall I can be sure that I am safe?

I would scan with a few of the offline scanners like the Kaspersky, BitDefender and Avira rescue disks. These work outside of Windows so viruses can't protect themselves inside the OS. Start with Kaspersky.

Thanks. I am downloading the Kaspersky Rescue Disk now. I am dreading the reinstall process, even though due to have a ssd and most of my files on drives d it should be quite simple to do the reinstall.

I will gladly take any more advice any forum member has.
