to be fair, amazon is raking in record sales

ebay can simply raise fees whenever they want and they've added all sorts of fake fees like optional paypal insurance, plus firing the entire fraud department helps cut costs, $25 xboxes for everyone.

and well, yahoo is the google for stupid ppl [there are a lot]

but yeah, short of a terrorist attack, the economy will steam ahead, and yes beleive it or not jobs trail expansion, ask any economist

Here's what your Economist's are saying:

Many economists are mystified about why a suddenly booming economy is producing so few jobs.

"More than half of the additional people who would have reported themselves as unemployed in a previous big recessionary period aren't," a puzzled UC Berkeley economist, Brad DeLong, wrote on his website.

In some eyes, a nation of burger flippers, temps and Wal-Mart clerks isn't the worst scenario for the economy.

I don't see where this "puzzled economist" made about knowing that jobs lag expansion. She seems kind of confused by the idea but maybe she skipped that class too many times.:p
Hehe - maybe people haven't "reported themselves as unemployed" because they aren't unemployed? The recession was quite mild compared to others so maybe that's why the doom and gloomers are confused and puzzled.:)

Weak? No - it was a passing thought that I posted - hence the "mayber".:D But what is weak - is your little link which you've tried to use(in multiple threads to show how "bad" things are.:p Get a grip dave - the economy is headed in the right direction and no amount of doom, gloom, and nay-saying from you or some "confused economist" from Berkeley can change that.:D

"the economy is headed in the right direction "

So far some paper propaganda and phony numbers does not PROVE any such thing.

Didn't know I ever got ahead. A lot of people also in the same boat but no guess they can't possibly be since the numbers went down by .1 right.

IMO, a lot of stocks are back to being overvalued. I've rode the wave this year, for the simple reason that none of my investments started degrading in price, but a big chunk of my portfolio was priced higher than it really deserves. As a result, I took my rather insane single year return and pulled nearly 3/4 of my funds out of the market (the remaining 1/4 are in stocks that are still good values). I've actually been surprised that there hasn't been enough people doing the same to cause a noticeable dip in the indexes. Then again, I guess there aren't many of us finanacially conservative liberal doomsayers ;).
