No, you can't sell your ticket. And you must meet all the astronaut requirements including weight.
Which is why I only guessed 30 million people would think they even had a shot and applied for it.

I love how the topic passes itself off as if it's the real deal. Like NASA is really doing this. Good job ass.

Yay or Nay?
With the new NASA spacecraft just a few years away from launch, I say its time to let an "average" American into space.

I don't see how you could construe that to mean its being done by NASA and not a proposal by me.

it would be awesome, but to be honest, i'd be scared as fuck

Yep, but too cool to pass up. I'd want them to drug me and drag me onto the shuttle if I was too scared to do it on my own.

I have been to space many times on heroin, its not that special.

Try some real windowpane, it'll get ya there.

This would be the "trip" of a lifetime and I'd probably spend every penny I had buying tickets.

I'm thinking that some newspaper or tv network would pay you enough for your story to take the year off.

yeah, but when you'd get home everyone would give credit to an inanimate carbon rod, instead of the everyman for saving the crew.

And what story is that? And how is said story so important that any news outlet would pay for it? Can't they write the story anyway, it's probably going to be filmed by NASA anyway and all the details will be disclosed with or without your permission.
