I need to either acquire a cheap nas server (at least 120gig, i'll upgrade the hard drives with some i have here) or I need to build one in a 1u rackmount case. I need the cheapest way out, but I can't do it with a computer that I have here. I have a current machine set aside as a file server and I am running out of room, but if I do an upgrade, I just want to get a nas server at this point. Sell this machine and I could pay the server off. BUT I can't see spending more than $400-500 on this thing. I don't mind used or refurbished. Anyone have any idea? I'm not looking for a deal here, since it would be the wrong thread (i think), I'm just looking for some guidance.
