It looks like Napster pulled the plug at 8:00 pm, EST. I was getting in some last minute downloads, and at precisely 8:00 pm, it ground to a halt. Can't even connect to server now.

Relax people it's normal to require a few times to connect, especially when they're being hit like they are now.

Bah, even if Napster goes down there are still a myriad of ways to DL Mp3's. It's funny how the record companies think that by closing down napster they can stop illegal trade of their music. My God, I wish I could be rich so I could squabble about people download the songs that already made me millions of dollars.

Although shutting down Napster won't end MP3 trading, I think there will be a definite downtrend.
A large number of Napster users aren't savvy enough to find MP3s elsewhere, and aren't willing to put in the time it takes to find and get them. Napster made it easy, and once it's gone a lot of people will just go back to buying CDs at the mall. Perhaps if this Napster/BMG thing turns out to be OK, some will be willing to pay, but I doubt it. Just my 2 cents.

I just found out Telocrappy is down... again. That's probably my problem; along with Napster servers being loaded.
