I can't seem to get Napster to work with a proxy conncetion. It works fine on my server upstairs, but whenever I start Napster on my comp downstairs it gives me an error message, 'cannot resolve server'or something like that. Anyone know whats up?

Depending on which Proxy server you are running, you would go in there and tell it to allow port 6699 and that should be it..Regards

Okay...How the heck do I do this with WinProxy? Do I do it in mapped ports? Do I use TCP or UDP? I need some specifics!!!!

If I remember when you install nap if you say you no nothing about firewalls or proxy it does it for you.
If I say i'm behind a firewall it sets up 6699 by it self. Don't know why or if this even helps.

Okay...thanks for the help, but nobody has specifically answered my question! I'm asking how to forward port 6699 through winproxy! So far, all I've ascertained is that I need to forward this port...but I'm a newbie with networking...why does everyone feel the need to try and answer a question they don't have the answer to? Thanks anyway, except MiniMe69...

Napster has it's own help forum try there.
Click on help some info there.
Check in preferances try to enter it there, you won't break it.
If I told you I would have to kill you :) ;)
