So the recording industry has basically won against Napster. WHoopdi-frigging-do - when is it that Napster will be devoid of copywrited material?

I was using their search engine a long time ago - their client never works for me though.

I dont see what people like in audiogalaxy, it is clumsy, part client, part web, which relies on the slow audio galaxy servers. I dont feel like loading a bunch of html pages when I can have everything I want in a stand alone client. Go bearshare

Audiogalaxy is far from clumsy, it is the easiest damn thing out there. If you can search for a song and click "get it", then you can use it. I have been using their client for a looong time now (since version 0.4xx) and it has served me very well and requires virtually no effort. It reminds me of the "Showtime Oven" infomercial: "Set it - and FORGET IT!" :)

It is true that you really need broadband to use Audiogalaxy effectively. The whole web-based thing actually makes things easier IMO but unfortunately AG would be easy to shut down due to its dependence on centralized servers. :(
