Two of my friends (who are brothers) used to work in this cafeteria at a summer camp. After mealtimes they would take turns napping in the bathroom stall and wake eachother up after a certain amount of time.

When I first started doing graveyard shift for this one company, the guy who was training me disappeared for a few hours, then he returned with his hair all messed up. Did this several times that week, then I found out that he went to his car and took naps for a few hours each night. The following night, I did the same thing. When you wake up from that, you fee like shtt though.

Same company, when I moved to day shift, one night, after work, my wife and I got into an argument, middle of the night. I left the house, drove to work and slept there. Drove the night guys crazy. I was sleeping in a desk chair with my head leaned back so I snored like a bullfrog all night. I guess being senior has its rewards cause no one woke me up to tell me I was bothering them.

Then one day, after a visiting engineer from our parent company worked all night, he fell asleep at his desk the next day. We took pics and made a going away card for him with it.

I try not to nap...but 15 minutes of dozing sure re-energizes me. And ditto on napping in class :p

i would have fired his irresponsible ass a long time ago

I don't have a computer, a pencil, paper or any of that good stuff at my office. I work in a lab where I sit in a sealed room with ethline dichloride, the sharpest tweezers money can buy, 3mm copper discs (grids) and a bowl of water. Basically my job is to play with the water and the ethline dichloride solution all day long making perfect patterns of the discs with no sunlight... making my company a small fortune... Theyre for electron microscopes and have to be exactly perfect or its the end of the world.

The fumes have knocked me out before

One boss came and gave my boss crap that I was "Sleeping."

My boss laughed at him and now its the office joke to clap at me whenever I'm moving too slowly to see if I'm drowsy of if I've been knocked out by the chemicals.

Its a shame that the owner cant tell the difference.

Bust on nappers all you want, but do it to me and I'll tweeze your eye out

Yeah, I'll catch a catnap now and again in the conference room. Then again, I'm also the most senior person here during my shift. :)

I sleep in the truck all the time, while driving, keeps every one else on the road on their toes. ;)
