Is it true what happened to Napoleon's penis? That after he died it was cut off and sold, and now someone has it
in their collection? MudGirl, via the Internet

Link

Cecil replies:

Maybe yes, maybe no. Why does someone who calls herself MudGirl want to know?

I my reading of history that has come-up a time or two. I would say probably it is true.

By testing Napoleon's hair it has been determined that he was slowly poisoned with

arsenic in his food. So if this substance were to show up in a tissue sample of his

joint, it would be further proof. Ppl will collect anything...

I alluded to the mysterious Napoleonic penis in one of Roger's threads a while back, and I think Roger thought I was talking about his penis and got all offended.

From my 1999 guinness book of world records:

"Napoleon Bonaparte's penis was removed at autopsy by a team of French and Belgian doctors and first put up for auction at Christie's in 1972. About 1-inch long and listed as "a small dried-up object," it failed to get reserve price. It was purchased five years later by an American urologist for $3,800"

The record? Most valuable penis :)

Isn't it a little early for that?

By providing that type of recognition to this post of his, it may encourage him to outdo this thread. :disgust:

Do we as a collective want this?
