I liked the movie, but you're right that it doesn't have any kind of deep meaning. It's just about a bunch of interesting characters doing random shit. I bet I could throw a football over those mountains.

yep, It was hilarious after the first minute. Then you're like, "OK, it's this type of thing."

An hour or so later, if you're still around, you're like "Oh...that's all it was. Maybe that's why I stopped laughing midway through Act I?"

How about fans of Ellen DeGeneres (even though she has exactly the same shtick as Seinfeld)?

Ellen Degeneres is witty as fuck. Can't say I'm a huge fan, but she's a comedic genius.

Oh, and if by Seinfeld, you mean Jerry and his routine, then yeah...I'm not such a big fan. The show was superlative, however. Jerry is the least funny, least interesting character on the show.

In both cases, you can only take self deprecating observations of loser friends, family and, acquaintances so far and then any reasonable person has to think, that's just sad. You choose to live your life like that? It's boring, repetitive, and depressing. Kinda loses it's funny after a while.

They are horrible individuals in the end. Why does enjoying a show equate to choosing to live the way fictional characters do on TV?

are you serious?

:hmm:

It's mind numbing, embarrassing and, emotionally equivalent to laughing at the mentally ill. Slapstick has more socially redeeming qualities. I like senseless fun as well as the next person but, there are lows like Jackass, Punk'd and, Real Housewives that even I can't deal with. Fictional settings don't change the soul draining reality of 'Stupid is as stupid does.' I'd rather burn a few brain cells drinking beer in the company of friends than be 'entertained' by that ilk.

They're striking while the iron is hot, I see.

Hahahaha, absolutely.

I'm just shocked, SHOCKED, that they were able to get the original cast to do the voices. I'm really not sure how they were all able to fit it into their busy hollywood schedules.

Well see they have no careers and... Oh wait, I see what you did there.
