Here

You need to ask for pricewatch price ($41). They jack up shipping to $11 but this is still only 52 which is cheaper than $58 Nanya on newegg.

They are bargain and they don't lack performance.
Though if you are a torrid overclocker than you will be happier with say Kingmax, Infineon or something like that.

I have one system with Nanya with latency 2 and works perfectly for me. I replaced another bargain chip (Vanguard) and the Nanya one is definitely on par with standard retail chips.
It is more often in Europe, I think.

My 512MB Kingston ValueRam uses Nanya chips. Nanya is one of the largest DRAM mfg in Taiwan.

No one caught this.......

Only$ 2057!

512 MB CompactFlash!

Not for me. I cannot get anything better than $67 of their site.
BTW Crucial sells standard retail, nothing particularly better than Nanya in my view. Wanna have real good PC2100 memory? Buy KingMax.

Just a heads up (and I might be wrong about this, correct me if so), Nanya is incompatible with NForce boards.

Not just Nanya, Micron, Samsun, Infineon and other mfg has some imcompatible with nForce chipset. Look here.

Note this.

Mushkin comes ahead, Micron performs miserable.
This is of course without Nanya, KingMax, Infineon, Samsung, or Corsair.
Crucial is good but there is nothing special about Crucial, it is not worth paying more than standard.

it's called good service, if you get a bad stick, you don't have to worry about crucial ripping you off or giving you a run around, imo, that alone is worth it to pay a little extra for crucial.

nanya is a division of formosa plastics. other divisions include, fic and via. it is decent stuff, dell is using it now also. crucial is nice... service is good. but really when was the last time you had a dimm die on you unless you were like mega overclocking it or something.

crucial right now, especially without the coupon is not worth it. the coupon will die, and we'll be at like $68 for crucial. thats what a 40% premium. thats not a little more. thats a lot.

I'd buy Crucial, no problem, they are just too expensive. Service? Ok, perhaps, I don't know about that, never used them.
Heck I am not paying 30-40% more than Nanya just for the name when I don't believe they are any better.

now you don't have to. you can get a stick of 256mb 2100 ddr for about $52 shipped if you use the 15% off and the $20 coupon. now its a nobrainer crucial > memplus

i doubt it. the hynix marraige will probably still happen if any of you guys pay attention to the financial news. it was turned down because the board of hynix rejected it at the last minute. all the creditors and share holders wanted it. since the creditors are owed tons of money in bonds, they will just cash their bond for stock and take control of the company and renogiate the marriage. the micron hynix buyout is inevitable.

the reason that memory is cheap right now is demand is very low, but come summer time during back to school gear up time etc its gonna probably get more expensive. not to mention many companies are just starting to upgrade again because their p3 systems what they bought 2 years ago are due for an upgrade cycle. anyways buy now while its cheap. i dont expect 256mb dimms to fall far below $35

Nanya isn't the only brand they have there for that price, they also have Samsung and Micron for $1 more. Isn't Samsung supposed to be able to OC really good?
