May 15 22:37:51 server named[202]: sysquery: no addrs found for root NS ()
May 15 22:37:51 server named[202]: sysquery: no addrs found for root NS (ns.server)
May 15 22:37:51 server named[202]: sysquery: no addrs found for root NS ()

Any idea on the cause and resolution?

Thanks

From comp.protocols.tcp-ip.domains FAQ:

Question 6.27. ERROR:sysquery: no addrs found for NS
If syslog reports "sysquery: no addrs found for NS" , the IN
NS record may be pointing to a host with no IN A record

makes sense to me
