Japanese - SUSHI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chinese - the real kind, damn good

korean/vietnam/.. all very similar to chinese still good

mexician - tacos and burretos need i say more

itilian - ummm pasta ummmm pasta, ummm persuctio (sp)

indian - ummmm curry

actually i find it hard to think of any food that i wont eat, or at least try once

1. India - Made me sick almost every time I've had it.
2. Afghanistan - Had it once. Burnt beef with 1 burnt tomato over rice. Ugh.
3. USA - Most "American" foods probably originated from other countries, but I find foods typically considered "American" to be too flavorful.

I used to hate Japanese, but I now get cravings for nigiri. I also hate "lunch menu" Chinese food... the fake stuff. Mexican occasionally makes me sick too, but it tastes good enough so I live with it.

hmm .....
I can't think of any countries with terrible food,

I will name some of the things I love from places other people have mentioned hating.

I hate sushi, but there are quite a few Japaneese dishes that I really enjoy. (ie, *.Teriyaki, and Shrimp Tempura, Chicken or Pork Katsu)
Also, Sapporo is great.

I Love pretty much all Indian food (some favorites are *.Curry, Tandoori.*, *.Vendaloo, *.Jalfrazie, *.Biryani. And be sure to wash them down with a Kinkfisher. mmmm beer)

Mediteranian & Middle Eastern food is great (Baklava, Hummos, Felafel, Kibbeh, Kefta, Shawarma, etc) (I bunched these all together since many of the same dishes are shared, just with different ways of preparing them).

Carribean food is quite tasty (Ox tail Soup, jerk chicken, mmmm)

I don't know if this qualifies as French or Amarican (or both), but Creole/Cajun style food is among my very favorites. Gumbo, Jambalaya, Beignets, mmmmmmmmmmm. Especially excellent with some crocolisk meat in there in addition to the Chicken, Sausage, Shrimp, and crawfish.

When it comes to French foods, I'm not a fan of escargot at all, however Fondues and Souflets can be quite good. Though I haven't had French food many times, what I have had I have enjoyed.

Brittish/English/UK food .. this is gonna be tough, as there are some pretty nasty foods that come from that area (Black Pudding anyone?, however, I know of at least one dish that is pretty good, Bangers and Mash ... (mashed potatoes + sausages)

here's mine:
1. Japan - I don't like seafood 🙂
2. India - you don't want to know about my indian food theory
3. not sure yet but Ethopian, Korean and Jewish (i know, not a country) are considerations...

I hate indian food, love Japanese and Korean food though ...

1. Just about any african country.
2. Europe as a whole - Italy
3. Canada 😉

I think the reason that so many of you dislike indian food is that you can't handel it, pshh, wusses.

american food sux. lacks creativity.

How does seafood gumbo lack creativity?

What other dish do you find a roux-based stew made with a finely chopped base of celery, green peppers, onion, garlic, and fresh parsely, combined and browned in with bacon/tasso ham, andouille sausage, seasoned okra, chopped tomatoes, shrimp, oysters, crabmeat, seafood stock simmered slowly to bring out the maximum flavor and served over rice?

If you can't tell, I cook gumbo myself 😛 The stuff's wonderful, and I've never had any complaints from anyone about it being unimaginative.

How about catfish courtbouillon, another dish I've made? A tomato-based catfish stew with plenty of garlic, green pepper and onion...not something I've come across anywhere else either.

Just my $0.02 on American food.

My list:
1) Indian - everything revolves around saturated fat and curry. I do like some dishes, but it's few and far between... Just hard to eat stuff that is so unhealthy for you and forces a burning bowel movement.

2) American fast food - just nasty unmentionable body parts of cattle/chicken slopped together in grease (Taco Hell, Scronalds, BK, any burger joint). And we wonder why we're so obese.

3) Chinese fast food - could also fall under #2 category, see description. I do like some of the tastes of Chinese food but it's too freaking unhealthy, analogous to drinking whole milk everyday. Just feel nasty after eating that crap.
Anyone who uses "unhealthy" as their primary determinant of what food is good, doesn't deserve to eat good food. Stick to your rice cakes and skim milk (AKA water).

Pretty much EVERY country in the world has some REALLY good dishes. I haven't eaten a single style of cooking where there wasn't at least one thing I liked.

Only one country comes to mind and thats England. I wonder why people do not like Japanese food. I'm sure most people like sush, kobe beef, udon, ramen, and saki.

malaysian food is the best...it's a combo of chinese, indian, and of course malay food...nothing beats malaysian food....which ones are horrible?? well i think the fast food bull (McD, BK, KFC, etc.), which i think falls under US/Canada, not sure...is the worst....they're just plain bad both in taste and for ur health..neways...the best food is also home cooked food...gotta love mom's cooking..peace

I don't have a damn clue, as far as I can remember, I like most all foods.... I don't dislike anything enough to hate a whole country's foods...
