Clerks
Pi
amelie
Dr. Strangelove (OK, so it might have been hyped when it first came out, but it's the best movie ever)

yiyi
dark city
john malk
trainspotting
ronin
hedwig
cruel intentions
a simple plan
the big kahuna
in the company of men(women hate this movie)
the center of the world

Red Green's Duct Tape Forever

So unhyped (at least in the US) it was only showing in one theater for 1 week in the entire state (had to drive 120mi to see it). There were only 20 people in the theater when I saw it.

and Four Rooms

"La Haine" (the hate)

Great movie about the French ghettos. I think it was released on DVD in europe. I saw it twice on the sundance channel.

the warrior and the princess (same actors/director as run lola run)
donnie darko
boondock saints
delicatessen
Cinema Paridiso and Starmaker and Malena (same director if i'm right)

Taxi
A French pizza delivery guy buys a car (Peugot I think), and soups it up to be like a racing car, and uses it as a Taxi through the streets of Paris I think. I'm a bit hazy on the details, but it's an awsome film. A must see for anyone who likes watching cars go fast through busy streets, without gunfights at the same time.

Men With Brooms
Any Canadians who saw this know that it's damn funny.
I can't believe I left Pi and Requiem For A Dream off my list last time.
Scope!

Shawshank Redemption
The Road Home
Office Space
Snatch
Memento
Gattaca
Seven
Amelie
The Straight Story

Most ppl seem to ignore my suggestion. But Festen (The Celebration) is one of the most daring films I've ever seen. It is a Dogme 95 film by the same guy who did The Idiots. And I suppose none of you know what Dogme films are... They're all shot on hand held digital camcorders, no tripods, no dollies, all shots are done by hand movement. No sound was added, it used real time sound. Extremely low budget, yet one of the most fantastic scripts I've seen.

Oh man, thanks to whoever mentioned

RUNAWAY TRAIN

I had forgotten about that one. It is awesome !

Other movies that I think are terrific and weren't hyped much if at all..

GREGORY'S GIRL
LOCAL HERO
GAS,FOOD,LODGING
PATH'S OF GLORY
