Name the 2 films from the last year you should watch

Lonyo

Lifer
My 2 top picks of all the films I saw this year are:

Howl's Moving Castle
Pride and Prejudice

I'd like to add Serenity, but it was more like an extended TV episode than a true film, and good as it was, IMO it was overshadowed.
(They don't have to have been nominated for any awards)

Batman Begins
Sin City

They wern't nominated, but who cares. I enjoyed them more than anything that was nominated.

Batman Begins was nominated for best visual effects.

EDIT: Nevermind, I read somewhere that it was, but I guess not. It was nominated for cinematography

Uh... I would pick 2 movies I haven't seen based on the wording of the OP (Cache and The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada). If it's 2 films other people should watch that I have seen, it would be Junebug and Syriana.

Penguins? The scenery on a big screen is awesome.

"Turtles Can Fly" was so different from the usual Hollywood fare. If seeing little kids defusing land mines is your thing, this is a MUST SEE!
