I thought David Carradine was great as Bill in Kill Bill 2. I knew who he was before those movies, but I didn't know he was such a good actor. Who else do you think is underrated?

Well i don't think Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman get the respect and aknowledgement they deserve from the public in general.

Marcia Cross: TV: Redhead in Desperate Housewives.
Matt Frewer: He was Max Headroom. Has done a lot of small parts in movies & TV.
David Hyde Pierce: Frasier
John Lithgow: The dad from 3rd Rock from the Sun, the Prince from Shrek (voice)
 
I think some don't understand the difference between underrated and highly rated, just not overly obsessed about.

Samuel L. Jackson is actually OVERRATED in a way. Because he's absolutely perfect for most films (like Pulp Fiction), its assumed he'll be good at roles in films like Star Wars, which IMO turned out to be ridiculously untrue. I love Samuel L. Jackson, but he sucked bad as a Jedi master. The whole American tough-guy thing just doesn't work with that kind of dialogue. That's what British actors are for.
