I'm pretty sure this guy can act, it's just that all of his roles have been the exact same character... and it helps that I really like that character anyway.

Hmm. I alwasy figured he was just playing himself

i agree. i don't think he play anything else. i hate his characters.

J.K. Simmons - (Juno's Dad, Jonah Jameson, Top CIA official in 'Burn After Reading')

OP's list is good, yes. I totally disagree with Michael Cera. I liked him in Superbad, then after Juno and Nick & Norah, I have no faith in his versatility. Not that I expect actors to have incredible range (just about every actor has a niche/genre that they're best at) but his characters appear to have NOTHING to separate them. Hell, Seth Rogen plays the same basic character in all his movies but at least he makes them stand apart.

yeah JK is awesome.. he was also in Oz and in the Law and Order series. Pretty much any regular or recurring actor/actress from Law and Order series are great because a lot of them have theater backgrounds.

Ryan Reynolds. He's really good in stuff like The Nines and Chaos Theory, and wasted in comedies (though Van Wilder had some laughs).

Yeah, she was huge for a little while and then disappeared off the face of the earth.
Who knows? Maybe she wanted it that way. Maybe she got tired of the fame and decided to slow down a bit.
Anyone know if she's married or has kids?

You forgot his best role of all: Schillinger on Oz.

Nothing will ever beat his role as Vernon Schillinger

I think he likes it that way. He's got bit parts in a bunch of Coen Bros. and the later Sam Raimi stuff.

I just wanna share some I like a lot, or for whatever reason, have a very good feeling towards them:

Aaron Eckhart- I liked him when I first saw 'Thank You for Smoking'. He looks like a decent guy & quite comedic. It was good to see him with more exposure in Batman (Two Face). I just saw a trailer with him as a main lead with Aniston for a romance movie.

Terrance Howard- I love his emotional acting. I think he's been in many 'black' movies, but I know he was GREAT in Crash, also hilarious in Iron Man. I love his 'emotional' way about him. It's shown well in Crash and in this ad here

Don Cheadle- Another great "I'm fucking ON" type of intense actor. He wasn't special in Family Man (with Cage). I think it was in his NFL ads that he was very good in. I wish his well-deserved lead in Hotel Rwanda fared better because the movie itself just sucked. Funny enough, Cheadle and Howard were both in Crash and we know Cheadle will replace Howard in Iron Man 2.

Matt Dillon- I fucking love this guy ever since I saw him in Something About Mary. His sleazy character truly made that movie, it was hilarious. He was also absolutely amazing in the car rescue scene in Crash. Very emotional.

What are your thoughts and share your own. :)

Terrance Howard and Don Cheadle were the first two I thought of. Aaron Eckhart is a good choice, too.

I'd like to add Rosario Dawson. yum.

Ehhh...he was good in Shooter and The Departed.. but he just maintains his pissed off face all the time. I'm always reminded of that Andy Samberg's SNL skit of him. "Hey say hello to your mother for me, alright?" ROFL.

what? You didn't see Boogie Nights? :Q

Way too long and dragged on too much and anti climatic? It's reminds me of terribly long snoozefests like Thin Red Line or Walk the Line (Ray was much better).

except the Thin Red Line is way better than you.

I don't remember seeing Bruce Campbell in a single Coen Bros flick...I've seen the all, though spotty memory of a few of them (Hudsucker, Intolerable Cruelty, etc)
