I have a friend who works in the unemployment office. She has been working overtime and weekends for 4 months because the # of cases has gone up by 5x.

Shoe repair.

I brought some shoes into a local shoe repair replace the other week and talked briefly with the owner. His business has been booming (mostly women's shoes). Apparently women are cutting back on new shoe purchases and repairing the ones they have.

University I work for has asked for budget cuts from all Schools due to drop in endowment.

Maybe in Canada where they value the education of the youth. Not in the the US. Cali is cutting education funding every year to balance the budget. Guess who's getting the pink slip. Young teachers w/ a progressive mind.
