Name one book, film and CD...

Book: The Satires by Juvenal. A social commentary which still, IMO, has relevance to many issues in the world today. Plus it's just good poetry.

Film: Life of Brian. Actually says a lot about religion and interaction between different groups. Plus it's a damned funny classic.

CD: Paul Simon - Graceland. Good music and has political elements which (hopefully) might give people pause for thought.

Doesn't have to be your favourite, and you are limited to one only. Something that you think has impact, or is really worth it for another reason, like it's an absolute undeniable classic.

Book: Where the Wild Things Are
Movie: Land Before Time
CD: Dark Angel - Darkness Descends or Green Carnation - Light of Day, Day of Darkness

Book: Getting to Yes- Negotiating Agreement Without Giving In
Movie: The Muppet Movie
CD: Metallica's Black album

book: Hitchhiker's Guide- some people don't know about 42?!
movie: The Holy Grail - so when playing isketch they will know of "alex the shrubber" or that the knights of Ni are looking for shrubberies.
CD: used to be Nirvana unplugged in NY, but I'm going to have to go with The grateful dead's Europe '72, it never gets old.

book // 'the count of monte cristo' by alexandre dumas

film // 'gattaca' by andrew niccol

cd // 'kind of blue' by miles davis

Book: In Harm's Way: The Sinking of the U.S.S. Indianapolis and the Extraordinary Story of Its Survivors
Film: Band of Brothers
CD: Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (the music is incredible, but the story behind this album and its influence are incredible)
