name of file that holds the registry?

Does anyone know the name of the file that the registry is stored in? Like if I wanted to save that file what would be the name of it (default)?

Well if you want to save the file, you can open the registry by typing regedit at the Run prompt. Then just export the registry file. That will save the file at the moment that you export it. Then if anything should go wrong, you can import the previous registry. Hope this helps.
